Acoustic guitarist Joseph Strider has covered a lot of musical ground in his career thus far. From boy soprano in school choirs, to playing with a cover band, Strider has spent the years developing his own unique style, a style that fits in no established genre and can best be described as modern Indigenous alternative. Join him Tuesday evenings as he sits and chats with some of the most influencial and interesting artists, musicians and people within the Native Culture Alaskas greatest rock/blues band released their 10th cd Indian RocknRoll (the popular song written by Louis Demoski) January 8, 2011 to a packed house at the Blue Loon in Fairbanks, AK. Since its release they have sold over 1,000 copies. Over the years, they have opened for ZZ Top, Jethro Tull, J Geils Band, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Eddie Shaw and John Hammond. Led by Marcs soulful singing, incredible guitar playing and world class songwriting, along with Jason Slats tasteful sax playing , Marc Brown & The Blues Crew were nominated as Debut Artist at the Nammys November 1010. This band consists of Marc Brown on guitar and vocals, Jason Slats on saxaphone, David Peck on drums and Noel Camp on the bass. They have been doing 150 + shows a year for the past 16 years and are still packing clubs where ever they go. http://www.marcbrownandthebluescrew.com/
