Will your anchor hold in the storm of life? - Nov 18,2012

A couple days out of this week the Holy Spirit asked, " Will your anchor hold?" Recently looking up the word anchor, the dictionary defines it as, " A person or thing that provides stability or confidence in an otherwise uncertain situation." How powerful is that? If our anchor is Christ then the answer to the original question is a resounding, "YES!" However, if we are bound to our word appearances, anchored in our jobs, by our children, marriage, food, or to money, will those anchor hold in the storm of life? And so we ask you... Will your anchor hold in the storms of life, when the clouds unfold their wings of strife? When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain, will your anchor drift, or firm remain? Praise the Lord that... We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast and sure while the billows roll; fastened to the Rock which cannot move, grounded firm and deep in the Saviour's love!
