"May all beings be free from suffering." Dharma Voices for Animals, a membership-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in California, is an organization of those committed both to practicing the teachings of the Buddha (the Dharma) and to speaking out when animal suffering is supported by the actions of those in Dharma communities and by the policies of Dharma centers. They want to be the voice of the animals who cannot speak our language and are unable to ask, "Why are you paying people to do this to me?" or "Why are you supporting my suffering?" Whether youre Buddhist, Christian, Muslim, or of any other faith, youll want to hear our guest talk about the suffering of animals and how one can align ones beliefs with ones actions. ABOUT BOB ISAACSON Co-founder and president Bob Isaacson has practiced the Dharma in the Vipassana/Theravada tradition for 17 years. He was a civil rights-human rights attorney for 25 years, specializing in defending people against the death penalty. Bob currently teaches the Dharma, leads two Sanghas, and leads day-long and weekend retreats in the San Diego area, having been trained in Spirit Rocks Community Dharma Leader program.
