One of the great tempations we face is to get all wrapped up in whats going on in the world. We are lured into the political scene, the sports arena, the entertainment circus, the realm of likes and dislikes, pro and con. We are tempted to express our opinions and debate with others about any number of things. We can be dragged into the liberal vs. conservative, Cubs vs. Cardinals, organic vs. junk food, Apple vs. Google, rock vs. country music, etc. But we as warriors in a spiritual conflict must not be distracted and get sidetracked into such vain arguments and issues. We can have a viewpoint and a set of concerns, but not get completely off on a tangent. Even worse, we can get frustrated, bitter, or depressed by immersing ourselves too deeply in the problems and conflicts of the worldly system that is controlled by Satan. He loves to see us get freaked out and angry at his diabolical schemes. Better to stay focused on what really matters -- the salvation of souls and their maturing in Christ.
